Counselling is like a journey, and I am simply a fellow traveller - I will walk beside you for a time, giving you genuine acceptance, respect, and support. I believe you will naturally grow in positive ways when you are affirmed and supported.
In counselling, you will be invited to explore your situation in a way that reveals your core values and innate strengths, and ultimately what is truly meaningful to you in life. We will work collaboratively, and tailor the process of counselling to your particular needs and goals, and together we will find ways to bring healing and transformation to your life.

Counselling is about honouring your needs wherever you are in life—through challenges, change, and past experiences. I’m here to support you through this process. It can be tough and uncomfortable at times, but I believe that making the commitment to your mental wellness through counselling is a courageous act.
In my counselling I’m always weaving together from your past and present story how the various aspects your identity intersect and influence your experiences. I prioritize understanding your unique perspective and fostering your personal growth and well-being.
Together, we’ll explore whatever brings you to counselling with gentle curiosity. I’ll offer insights from a non-judgmental and empathetic perspective, ensuring a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship forms the foundation of our work.
This work is deeply meaningful to me because I understand the vulnerability of sharing your personal life with a stranger. I validate your feelings and create a space for healing. It would be an honour to collaborate with you and listen to your story.

With ancestry from the Mi’kmaq people of Newfoundland and the English people of Bath, I integrate the teachings of the medicine wheel into both my personal and professional life.
I believe that creating art can profoundly support physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Art allows us to re-experience our stories and struggles in new ways, allowing deeper connections with ourselves, our bodies, those around us, and our communities. My mission is to guide people in honouring their stories and reclaiming their connections to live more whole and meaningful lives.
Using Focusing-Oriented Therapy, I encourage individuals to notice their body’s sensations rather than their thoughts. This shift in attention creates space for curiosity and compassion, facilitating personal growth and healing.

I support my clients by letting them guide the process, focusing on their strengths, and being sensitive to any past trauma. I work alongside you at your own pace, providing a non-judgemental, safe space.
I use a variety of therapeutic approaches to help you. These include techniques for changing negative thought patterns, managing intense emotions, committing to personal values, processing traumatic memories, and improving relationship dynamics. Each approach is tailored to address your specific needs and situations effectively.
I like to describe counselling as a journey on a highway. You are in the driver’s seat, and I’m in the passenger seat beside you. You set the goal, guiding the direction of each session. You have the freedom to stop, change direction, or adjust your pace at any time. My role is to empower you, draw on your strengths, and support you on your journey.
In our sessions, I encourage you to share your experiences so we can explore coping strategies together. I will stay curious and encourage you to do the same. I will identify common behaviours and thinking patterns and share these insights with you. My goal is to help you achieve your goals and overcome any obstacles that may be in your way.

With Whom? Individual Adults Couples
Areas of Practice: Life Transitions Immigration, Cultural Adjustment Grief and Loss Trauma Relationships, Attachment Couples Counselling Career Self-esteem, Identity, Personal Growth
We’ll begin our counselling journey by building a trusting and safe relationship where I’ll accompany you every step of the way towards healing and achieving your goals and hopes. My goal is for you to feel heard, seen, understood and accepted. While you lead the way at your own pace and discover your needs, I’ll provide guidance and support.
In my work with individuals, I most often use the therapeutic method, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT). This approach helps to change negative thought patterns and behaviours, with a focus on addressing and healing from past difficult experiences or trauma. This approach aims to understand how the past events affect thoughts, feelings, and behaviours today, and helps develop coping strategies to manage trauma-related symptoms like anxiety or stress.
When I work with couples, I use the Gottman Method to guide you through relationship challenges. I will help you to uncover the points of disconnection, to see the bids for closeness that your partner makes, and to rediscover connection.
I provide counselling to a diverse range of clients, supporting each person in finding clarity, growth and healing.

My priority is to create a safe, non-judgemental space where you feel comfortable exploring the unknown within a supportive relationship. Whether you are on a healing journey, building your tools and coping skills, exploring emotions, or processing trauma, we can work together using a variety of counselling techniques.
As a BC Registered Clinical Counsellor, I use an approach that validates your life experiences, honours you as the expert of your own history, and focuses on your strengths. I centre the counselling process around building a strong, supportive relationship, and I integrate mindfulness techniques to help you navigate challenges. Together, we will explore what type of support best meets your needs and goals to guide our work. Our sessions might include exploring new ways to understand and relate to the past, examining life patterns, uncovering new perspectives and facets of yourself, moving toward daily nourishment, or strengthening your ability to access inner resources.
In addition to more traditional talk therapy, you will also have the option to try Expressive Arts Therapy if it is something you are interested in. Expressive Arts Therapy explores content coming up in sessions by inviting the imagination and the senses into the process. Working in this experiential way can also provide a safe container for accessing difficult emotions or past traumas. No arts experience is required, and simplicity is celebrated in this way of working.
